Shenaz Allyjaun
PhD Student
Shenaz was born in London, UK. She did her undergraduate in Biochemistry and MSc in Molecular Biology and Pathology of Viruses at Imperial College London. Her Masters project focused on using single molecule imaging to identify and validate CRISPR-Cas9 off-target activity. Shenaz then worked as a research assistant at the University of Cambridge, exploring the signalling pathways activated during nutrient deprivation in organ transplantations, before joining the DNA Replication Group in October 2019 as a PhD student to investigate the structure and dynamics of pre-replication complex formation and its interaction with DNA and DNA binding proteins. Outside of the lab, Shenaz enjoys hiking, travelling and cooking.
