Lepakshi Ranjha

Postdoctoral Fellow

Lepakshi was born in Ghaziabad, India. She received her PhD in 2016 from the University of Zurich, Switzerland for her work on the biochemical characterisation of key meiotic recombination factors. She then held successive postdoctoral positions at the Institute of Molecular Cancer Research (University of Zurich), Institute for Research in Biomedicine (Bellinzona, Switzerland) and the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences, studying, respectively, endonuclease in DNA end resection, the role of sumoylation of Dna2 nuclease and mechanism of reversed replication fork protection, and the structure of the CST telomere replication protein. Lepakshi joined the DNA Replication Group as a postdoctoral fellow in October 2020 to investigate mechanisms involved in the regulation of DNA replication. In her free time, Lepakshi enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and experimenting with world cuisines.
